I have a table in excel that I have pasted into AutoCAD 2005 as an OLE object with a link to the file. I can edit the spreadsheet and see the changes just fine. But what if I want to add a few rows? I make the edits in Excel, but AutoCAD does not 'expand' the table to encompass the new rows. What is the easiest way to make this kind of a change and have it reflected in cad (besides copying and pasting the sheet again)?

That is what I have done. Now I want to edit the excel file, add a few rows, and have those new rows show up in cad - without having to re-copy and paste.

This is one of the many limitations of OLE.

If you were to consider third party software, XL2CAD 3.0 from
http://www.dotsoft.com/xl2cad.htm allows linked tables to shrink or
expand as rows/cols are deleted/inserted.

We are also working on another one of your wishes. ;-)

Yeah, I figured Dotsoft would have this solution. Unfortunately I am with a company that is not neccessarily fond of purchasing 3rd party software. That may change though... I hope.
